Auditions, Callbacks, CASTING!

Last Thursday I auditioned for Charlotte's Web! I thought I had done "okay." I felt that I could've done better but everyone reassured me that I had done very well. So, as I always have done after I get compliments, I got my hopes up.

Next morning, I came downstairs around 8:00 and my mom told me that I was called back for the Goose, Mrs. Arable, Mrs. Zuckerman and Charlotte. I was blown away! Four roles? Surely the directors made a mistake and put down too many names. So I went to callbacks and asked what I had been called back for. The lady at the desk told me that, indeed, I had been called back for all four parts. That's just weird, I thought to myself. So I sang and read for all of them.

#1. The Goose: I had practiced earlier how I would read my lines and sing this part. I decided that I would go with a sort of, masculine, motherly, controlling tone voice. I also added the thoughts of having a long neck like a goose. So I ended swinging my head around, while saying the lines, pretending I was goose! I made myself crack up. :]

#2. Mrs. A & Mrs. Z: I knew at once that I didn't want these parts. They were old women, and I did not want to pretend to be farmer's wives. I wanted to play a fun, young kind of role. I did my best nonetheless.

#3. Charlotte: THIS was the part I really wanted. Really, really, really wanted. I had practiced all her songs over and over before callbacks. I got up there, and gave it my all. But, there was this other girl, who did absolutely wonderful. I just knew that she had the role.

So, I went home, hoping for...The Goose. Since obviously, the other girl was already Charlotte.

I couldn't sleep that night. I was wide awake. My stomach was fluttering and my head was swimming with questions. My eyes wouldn't close and I couldn't stop moving around, trying to get comfortable. I would go from being so hot, I had to throw my blankets off. Then I would get so freezing cold that I would get out of bed and get an extra two blankets. Finally, I fell asleep dreaming of computers with headlines saying, "CAST LIST FOR CHARLOTTE'S WEB".

Next morning.

Let us take a moment of terrible not-knowingness............................................

I am Charlotte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, let me explain. I woke up around 7:00 this time. I sat bolt upright, feeling sore from thrashing around in my sleep like a girl who was having some serious not-knowing-dreams. I lunged for the door and basically flew down the stairs. At the bottom, I heard my parents talking in the back room. I couldn't tell what they were saying. I rushed into the room and blurted, "Isthecastlistup?" For a moment I searched their faces and could've sworn I'd seen that familiar sympathy. I didn't get a main part, I thought. Then my mom smiled from ear to ear. I got The Goose. "What'dIget?" I asked, scared of what I was going to hear. "See for yourself!" They gestured toward the computer. I rushed to it and read the nightmare words across the page, CAST LIST FOR CHARLOTTE'S WEB. My eyes flicked down to the top of the list. There, I read the word Charlotte and next to it, my name.

I caught my breath and then let out a forced, "Oh my gosh." My dad laughed and I sat down and clicked the refresh button. My name came up again. Again. Again. I didn't believe it! I got Charlotte. I'm Charlotte? No, silly! The computer's messed up. Refresh. WHY IS MY NAME STILL THERE? OhmygoshI'mCharlotte.

And there you go folks, I. am. Charlotte.

I still didn't believe it until I saw one of my directors last night and she greeted me with the words, "Hey, how are you? CHARLOTTE." And then it went: BAM. I finally got my lead role.

Lucy's Fairytale Adventures

I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I was in a TV show that was 'Coming Soon.' It's called Lucy's Fairytale Adventures and it's not finished, but I did do a commercial lately. I've put it here for you guys to see. I don't like it much, but that's just because it's me. =P I play the role of Kirsten 'the mean girl throwing a tea party' and we did this in one take! (I'm not sure what that says about me that I can do the "mean girl" thing without much effort.=/) It's going to be a show for children, and I don't really know any details yet. Like what stations it's going to be on or exactly what day. I'll find out soon though. The second commercial is the main character, Lucy. She can turn invisible because of some fairys she met in the woods. :]

Isn't she cute?? :]

City Kids On Country Vacation

My 12 year old brother and I are very fond of photography. We love finding cool landscapes and props and getting out our camera to click away the scenery. A lot of the time, we take pictures of eachother with the pretty scenery or fun things to pose on.

This last weekend, we had fun with the country scenery of Ohio! These pictures are not the best of our "art", but I thought that it would show how much fun we have. :] Enjoy!

Random Fact of the Day #2

Watching little babies play is just the funniest thing!

Say the baby has a toy house to play with. Along with a car, 2 people and a bed. First of all, Person 1 is in the car coming home. (Upside down in the car I might add.) Then Person 2 comes out to meet Person 1 but, then goes to bed. Person 1 decides to take a ride in his car again, this time on the roof. Person 2 wakes up and comes and joins Person 1. They are both riding on the roof upside down.

All the while, the baby is making his very own soundtrack and special effects. Of course there's car sounds which include spitting all over the toy house like rain. Then there's the loud snoring of Person 2 in bed. Then whenever there isn't anything to make sounds for, singing fills in the empty spaces.

"LA LA LA EFFJEEGAHGAH HOLPTIC SHOOOOOO..."

They are funny little things, babies.

All About Me! Oh Brother...

BASICS

What do you want to be when you grow up? I think a singer. Maybe a country or folk singer. Or Alternative, but not pop.

What do you think about paparazzi and celebrities? I think that nobody should read the magazines 'cause they're all lies. And honestly, sometimes I feel bad for the celebrities because they have no private life. Nobody knows them, so we just judge them by the stupid paparazzi.

Would you ever want to be one? I don't know, only if God led me there.

What's your hobby? Singing, dancing, writing and taking pictures.

Who do you like to hang out with more: Family or friends? I think they're pretty equal. I live my family so when I'm not somewhere with my friends, I'm doing something with my family.

Do you believe in God? YESS SIR!

FAVORITES

What's your favorite movie, why? I'd have to say, The Invisible. Why? Because it was done really well and Justin Chatwin is one of my favorite actors. :]

Book? Harry Potter. All duh wayy.

Music/band? Imogen Heap and Taylor Swift. They are my inspiration.

What's your favorite drink? Cherry Coke. :] I'm wearing my Cherry Coke t-shirt right now!

Food? Mac n' cheese. Has been my favorite ever since I can remember.

RANDOM

Do you sleep with any stuffed animals? Three. A lamb, a leopard and a big big puppy!

Do you have any bad habits? After I paint my nails, I can't keep them painted for more than 2 days. I start biting or chipping the nail polish off! It's really annoying because I don't have any patience to paint my nails all over again.

What's your biggest fear? All bugs. All reptiles. Period.

Can you sing/dance? I'm okay, still working on both. :]

Have you ever pulled an all nighter? Yeah, twice. They were both at the same girls' house, and it was a humungous slumber party. The only thing we did was sing and worship the Lord! It was amazing.

Ever been in a mosh pit? Yep, 3 times. One was at a concert for Before Summer Ends and the other two were at out churches Easter Vigil. At the end of the night, the whole church is up at the front of the stage and we're worshiping and dancing and jumping...it's always the best night of the year.

Ever been on tv/radio? Both! I was on the radio once to tell the world about the play I was in then, Tom Sawyer. And then I was on TV for the Roskam Party when Peter Roskam won the election! Oh, And I will be in a TV show soon. (Details to come.)

DRAMATICS

Do you ever pretend to be someone else just to look cool?
No, I'm content with the person God made me, and there's no point in trying to be different.

What are your number one priorities in life? I want to learn more about prayer so that I can connect with God, and find out what He wants me to accomplish in my life.

Are you a daredevil? Pretty much. And proud of it. Oh, but I won't do it if it's stupid.

What is the most important lesson you've learned in your life? That the only way you're going to get through anything is to trust God with everything.

What's the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Be patient in everything you do. Patience is the virtue that I pay most attention to because it's the hardest one for me. But I do grow in it everyday! :]
